When you enter the ArtsPark, it\u2019s like you\u2019re entering a world of pure imagination. At least, that\u2019s what it feels like. Part park, part outdoor art installation, the ArtsPark is a magical, outdoor extension of the Indianapolis Art Center, filled with art installations and sculptures meant to entertain, create discussion, and make you appreciate the natural beauty of Indianapolis. Located just off the Monon Trail in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis Art Center\u2019s ArtsPark is 9.5 acres of landscape and gardens, with interactive sculptures designed to stimulate all of your senses. Related Article: Make It, Take It Art Classes at Indianapolis Art Center Art and Sculptures Visitors can wind their way through the ArtsParks and encounter a variety of imaginative art pieces, including one of the most recognizable pieces called \u201cTwisted House,\u201d a wooden sculpture of a home that is turned upside down. \u201cCircle,\u201d a Zen-like sculpture composed of a 10-foot ring of black granite with a sand garden on the inside, is a hit with sensory-loving kids. \u201cCrescendo\u201d -- a bright, blue sculpture composed of 6,000 tiles \u2014 is definitely Insta worthy. But more importantly, the sculpture includes responses from the community on each of its tiles, answering the question: \u201cWhat have you discovered?\u201d It\u2019s fun to stand under the sculpture\u2019s tall arch and read the responses. And as the seasons change, the look of the ArtsPark changes, too. Along with the sculptures and artwork that is all throughout the park, kids can also climb the patio steps and see geese and ducks, walk down to the boardwalk that overlooks the White River and see the water, and much more. The ArtsPark is also located right off of the Monon Trail, so it\u2019s easy to get to by bike or by walking. ArtsPark: A Gallery Without Walls The ArtsPark was designed by Hoosier native and world\u2013renowned architect Michael Graves. His idea for the park was to create an untraditional space for appreciating art that\u2019s not within the walls of an art museum, where you\u2019re usually not allowed to touch and interact with the pieces.
