Brightly Art Studio, an art studio located in Brownsburg, provides classes, clubs, camps, parties and events to the community and beyond. The idea for the studio originated in 2017 when owner Laura Gambrel was struggling with the direction of her career. Feeling there was something new in her future and after a discussion with her therapist, she deduced that opening a local art studio was the next step in her career.
Gambrel’s art studio fruitions started in a rented room at her local library and shelter at her local park. She started hosting art workshops for kids with process art stations and messy art play, which became so popular, she was able to formally found the Brightly Art Studio that exists today in its two level unit on Main Street in Brownsburg.
The studio’s instructors include a diverse group of women with various backgrounds. Many have experience in elementary education, art education, fine arts, children’s ministry, secondary education, family ministry, marketing, and more. All Brightly Art Studio instructors are trained in process art teaching principles, art education best practices and art therapy ideas.
Currently, the studio offers Art Club, Preschool Playgroup, Junior Art Club, Homeschool Art Club, Teen Art Club and more.
For Valentine’s Day, Brightly Art Studio is hosting a Funny and Fluffy Valentine Stuffie on Feb. 10. This 45-minute class allows participants the opportunity to glue, stuff and decorate a one-of-a-kind heart-shaped monster stuffie.
On Feb. 10, Brightly is hosting a Galentine’s Day two-hour adult workshop, which will show participants how to paint, bead and glue a boho-style Cupid’s arrow wall hanging.
