The National Bank of Indianapolis Summer Nights Film Series is back at Newfields this summer, and this year the beloved tradition celebrates 50 years of flicks and fun. Grab your family and friends, pack a blanket or a few chairs, and settle in for movies under the stars. The 2026 lineup stretches across decades, mixing timeless classics, recent hits, and short films. Concessions and drinks are available on site, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic and non-alcoholic beverages. Toss some sunscreen and bug spray in your bag while you are at it.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and films begin at dusk. Arrive early for live music from local DJs, movie trivia, games, and other pre-show fun. Summer Nights started during the tenure of former Indianapolis Museum of Art Director Robert Yassin, and to mark the 50th anniversary, this year’s lineup includes Top Hat, one of the very first films ever shown at the series.

What to Bring
Pack your chairs, blankets, pillows, umbrellas, food, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks. The Amphitheater has grass seating areas, so no chairs or seats are provided unless you reserve one in advance. Popcorn, light snacks, beer, wine, soda, and water are available for purchase on site. Bring sunscreen and bug spray, and arrive early to snag the perfect spot.
What Not to Bring
Leave outside alcohol, pets, candles taller than 12 inches, knives, and anything you can’t easily carry down the stairs at home.
