How old are the counselors and how are they trained?

Counselors can be 16 years of age or older (at least 18 years old is always present on the premises). They are trained through our Right Way Training, which ensures they know how to train and guide children safely. Any staff member 18 years of age or older is required to complete Safe Sport Certification through USAG.

What accommodations are made for campers with special needs?

Unfortunately, we do not have specifically trained staff that can accommodate children with special needs. However, our coaches are able to aid children who may have sensory issues or learning challenges. We would appreciate a conversation with the parents and child to work together on a solution going forward!

How do you determine the group my camper is placed in?

At our camp, we group kids by age for optimal learning and safety. That’s why we carefully place campers into groups based on age, ensuring they learn and grow alongside peers with similar interests and developmental stages. Our groupings adhere to strict coach-to-camper ratios, prioritizing safety while fostering a supportive environment for optimal learning. We understand the importance of keeping siblings or classmates together for added comfort and camaraderie. Simply inform our camp staff during registration if your camper would like to be paired with a sibling or classmate, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences, ensuring every child feels right at home in their group.
