Finding somewhere to cool down on a hot day is easy this summer. From beaches to pools, the Indianapolis area has something for every age and every mood.

The Waterpark at the Monon Center
Opening May 29 the park offers waterslides, a lazy river, the FlowRider (surf simulator), and more. Season passes are available as well as single day tickets priced at $12 for adults, $9 for kids and seniors. www.carmelclayparks.com/the-waterpark


Saxony Lake & Beach
You don’t need to travel far to feel sand between your toes! The beach is open daily from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Admission is free for Fishers residents and kids under 2 and $5 for non-residents.


Murphy Aquatic Park in Avon
The waterpark has a wave pool, water slides, toddler zone, and a large play feature in the center of the pool. What’s more, the central water playground is completely ADA accessible. Each body of water is zero-depth entry and everything is wheelchair accessible. There will also be water wheelchairs available for those that want to get in the water and join in the fun. Murphy Aquatic Park is $8 for Avon residents and $10 for non-residents.
Garfield Aquatic Center
Enjoy the center’s two pools, water slides, lap lanes, and spray features. Admission is free for kids under 2 and ranges from $3-$5 for youth and adults.
Freedom Springs Aquatic Park
Opening May 29, Greenwood’s aquatic park features a lazy river, splash pad, slides, and more. Daily admission rates range from $6-$10 depending on age, residency status, etc. Season passes are also available.


Watermill Splash Pad at Williams Park
The Watermill Splash Pad is located at the back of Williams Park, and boasts more than 2,500 square feet of aquatic play opportunities for the entire family through interactive spray and play features. The zero-depth splash pad offers several features with varying water sensations, including flowing, misting, and jetting – in addition to the Superwave that churns out 32 gallons of water per minute! Bonus: Splash Pads are free!
Splash Island Family Waterpark
Located on 4.3 acres in Plainfield, Splash Island has water slides, an interactive play area, water basketball court, and more. Guests are allowed to bring coolers, but note that coolers will be checked and glass is not allowed. Daily admission rates range from $4-$11 depending on age, residency status, etc.


Morse Park and Beach
The 23-acre park has not only an 18-acre disc golf course, but also an impressive aquatic adventure park with inflatable water activities, swimming, and more! The water park is open May 29 – September 6. Related Article: A Day at Morse Beach and Park.

Mulberry Fields Park
This 38-acre park in Zionsville includes walking paths, a skate park, picnic shelters, a splash pad, and more! The free splash pad is open every day from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 9am – 9pm.
