Murphy Aquatic Park in Avon will open for its third season on Opening May 25, 2024!
Murphy Aquatic Park will include an ADA-accessible water play area, as well as an all-inclusive playground, trails, a large recreational hill, a recreation pond, and native plantings.
In 2022, Washington Township Avon Parks and Recreation successfully brought Murphy Aquatic Park to the community after five years of hard work. As we gear up for the park’s third season in 2024, let’s take a look at some exciting things to look forward to this year when we dive back into the fun at Murphy Aquatic Park!
Murphy Aquatic Park
The waterpark includes a wave pool, water slides, a toddler zone, and a large play feature in the center of the pool. Furthermore, the central water playground is completely ADA-accessible. Each body of water has a zero-depth entry, and everything is wheelchair accessible. Water wheelchairs are also available for those wanting to get in the water and join the fun.
Water cannons will be placed at different levels so children can access them and play together. Extra-wide ramps throughout the water playground allow easy transitions from one activity to another, including three different slides accessible from the lower deck features.

Dive into the excitement at the Summer Concert Series at Murphy Aquatic Park, where attendees can experience the perfect blend of live music and swimming. Guests have the option to lounge on provided pool chairs or bring their own for added comfort, all while enjoying the melodies of the performers. What makes this event even more irresistible? Playground
Murphy Aquatic Park has a big playground outside the waterpark. It features signs for non-verbal children. Kids can find hiding spots for breaks. A wheelchair-friendly merry-go-round is also there.
The merry-go-round is simple to use. It can be spun from inside or outside, and the shade protects it from too much sun.
Sensory and wheelchair swings are available. A chair zip line and slides are accessible too. The playground has wide deck spacing and a surrounding sidewalk for easy access.
