Founded in Ohio by husband-and-wife duo Thad and Jessica Kittrell, 101 Beer Kitchen reflects the owner’s goal to create a place they could enjoy with their four kids. Together, they created a multi-location franchise that’s welcoming, fresh, and exciting. 101 Beer Kitchen has two locations in Central Indiana – in Fishers (at the Yard) and In Carmel (at the Proscenium).
A Family-friendly Menu
Both Indy-area locations offer family-friendly, yet trendy and fresh dining environments–a perfect compromise for parents and kids alike.
The kids’ menu is creative and interactive—with checkboxes to personalize their own meal. Each kids’ entrée comes with two sides, a dessert and a drink and offers several options to choose from, including Parmesan and panko-crusted chicken tenders, six-cheese Mornay sauce & mini rigatoni macaroni and cheese, all beef kosher hotdogs in house made pretzel dough, naan grilled cheese, cod filet, pizza grilled cheese on sourdough bread with mozzarella and provolone cheese, house made BBQ chips, freshly diced pineapple, watermelon, oranges, and yogurt. For brunch, they offer French toast dippers, cheesy scrambled eggs. The food comes on a divided tray, similar to the ones at a school cafeteria. Luckily for kids (and parents), the food on the tray tastes much, much better.
Lots of Options for Grown-Ups, Too
Grown ups can enjoy craft beer (with 20 taps that change with the seasons), and a seasonal cocktail and wine menus. They offer happy hour specials Monday through Friday from 3-6pm. The food menu offers the tried-and-true standbys (burgers, wings, chicken sandwich, soft pretzels) as well as new and exciting dishes; butternut squash pirogies with brown butter, sage, shallots, parmesan cheese, sherry vinegar, and spinach. Another dish includes a seared salmon bowl with roasted Brussels sprouts, couscous, roasted beets and chives.
