Ready, set, GLOW! Glow in the Park, Fishers' annual family-friendly, technicolor evening event, is set for Saturday, September 18 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Nickel Plate District AMP. All ages are invited to the free event to get messy while enjoying face painting, live DJs and performances from 31SVN Street Dance Academy, dancing and neon splash zones. Black lights, fog machines and lasers will light up the night, so wear white and get ready to glow. Glow in the Park Tips Glow in the Park can be messy, so Fishers Parks recommends doing the following for maximum fun and comfort during and after the event: Wear a white shirt. A white shirt glows under the black lights and displays neon paint the best. Guests also have the option of buying a white Glow in the Park-branded shirt for $10 at the Fishers Parks tent. Protect your eyes and hair. Bring goggles and\/or a hair cap. Fishers Parks will also be handing out free goggles and hair caps on a first-come, first-served basis. Leave pets at home. Pets are not permitted at this event. Bring a mask. Masks are strongly encouraged for unvaccinated people or when social distancing cannot be maintained. This is an event where social distancing may not be possible in some areas. If you would like to socially distance yourself from the crowd, there will be a more personalized spray area near the Pavilion, at the south end of the venue. Be prepared for a sensory-rich experience. This event will be loud, bright with lights and messy. Performers will be playing music and dancing from the stage, and paint will be sprayed into the crowd. Some lighting will be used that may be disruptive to people who have epilepsy or are are sensitive to bright, flashing lights. Other Activities Visit with local vendors. Show support to local vendors and sample the various food, drinks and snacks that will be available to purchase on site. Outside food and drinks are not permitted. Buy Glow swag from Fishers Parks. Visit the Fishers Parks tent to purchase Glow in the Park T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, glow sticks, light-up goggles and more. Check out the sensory-friendly spray area. All of the music, crowds and lights can be overwhelming. If your family needs a break from the main area, head toward the Pavilion building, directly south of the AMP stage, for a sensory-friendly area. For more sensory tools, check out a Kulture City Sensory bag from the Fishers Parks tent.
