The Town of Whitestown has unveiled new playground equipment at Gateway Park.
“We are excited to offer a playground where children and families can have fun and learn in a safe, inclusive, and accessible environment,” said Whitestown Parks Director Dominic Cornett.
Two large innovative, industry-first elements are included in the park. The Sensory Wave Climber allows children of all abilities to enjoy the benefits of climbing while enhancing sensory development. The GTWave is a net climber with a transfer platform attached to an accessible route leading to a six-foot zip slide.
The park also boosts a turf surface, multiple shade structures, a zipline, and four different types of swings.
Gateway Park is located at 6150 Gateway E Drive, directly west of the Neighborhoods at Anson community.
The project was funded by a grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which provides matching grants to states and local governments to acquire and develop public outdoor recreation areas and facilities.
