Finding somewhere to cool down on a hot day is easy this summer. From beaches to pools, the Indianapolis area has something for every age and every mood.

 

 

 

The Waterpark at the Monon Center

Open May 25 – September 2, the park offers waterslides, a lazy river, the FlowRider (surf simulator), and more. $11 for adults, $8 for kids and seniors. www.carmelclayparks.com/the-waterpark

Saxony Lake & Beach

You don’t need to travel far to feel sand between your toes! The beach is open daily from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Admission is free for Fishers residents and kids under 2 and $5 for nonresidents.

 

Garfield Aquatic Center

Enjoy the center’s two pools, water slides, lap lanes, and spray features. Admission is free for kids under 2 and ranges from $3-$5 for youth and adults.

 

Freedom Springs Aquatic Park

Greenwood’s aquatic park features a lazy river, splash pad, slides, and more. Daily admission rates range from $6-$10 depending on age, residency status, etc. Season passes are also available.

Splash Island Family Waterpark

Located on 4.3 acres in Plainfield, Splash Island has water slides, an interactive play area, water basketball court, and more. Guests are allowed to bring coolers, but note that coolers will be checked and glass is not allowed.

Eagle Creek Park Swimming Beach

Open in June and July, the beach has multiple swimming areas, “Plunge Harbor,” and lifeguards. A playground and beach volleyball are available on land. Kids under 2 are free, youths and seniors are $4 weekdays/$5 weekends, and adults are $5 weekdays/$6 weekends.

The 23-acre park has not only an 18-acre disc golf course, but also an impressive aquatic adventure park with inflatable water activities, swimming, and more! The water park is open Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Brookside Family Aquatic Center

Open Memorial Day through the first weekend in August, Brookside Family Aquatic Center is perfect for a summer day at the pool. Admission is free for kids under 2, $3 for youths and seniors, and $4 for adults. Call (317) 327-7179 for more details.

Mulberry Fields Park

This 38-acre park in Zionsville includes walking paths, a skate park, picnic shelters, a splash pad, and more! The free splash pad is open every day from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 9am – 9pm.
