Old City Park

What makes it unique: Old City Park reopened in 2020 with a brand new element you can’t find anywhere else in Indiana. The recreational centerpiece of Old City Park is a 20-foot cube tower, with a tunnel slide attached and lots of climbing features below. The play tower is the first of its kind in Indiana and one of only three in the country.

River Heritage Park

What makes it unique: In 2001, River Heritage Park’s accessible playground was dedicated as “Everybody’s Playground.” When the park was reimagined in 2022, the focus on inclusion remained a top priority. The park’s updates focus on accessible play and providing access to the community’s most significant natural resource: the White River.

A standout feature of this park is the unique playground adventure trail. This wheelchair-friendly nature trail encourages visitors to embark on a journey through the woods and along the White River. The exceptional trail boasts a durable, rubberized surface and wheelchair-accommodating path. Moreover, several playground stops await parkgoers at the trail’s beginning, ensuring fun and exploration for all.
