Old City Park in Greenwood – A One-of-a-Kind Playground

In 2020, Greenwood’s Old City Park was completely transformed, becoming one of Indy’s most amazing playgrounds. Located at the heart of Greenwood, this historic park now has a special 20-foot cube tower designed by famous playground designer, KOMPAN. This extraordinary structure is the first in Indiana and among only three in the whole country. Explore this refreshed playground, where endless fun and adventures are waiting for you!

First of its kind

At the heart of Old City Park lies a 20-foot cube tower, complete with an attached tunnel slide and numerous climbing elements beneath. This unique play tower is a first for Indiana and one of merely three across the nation.

Other cool features

The brand-new playground has many exciting features for everyone to enjoy. There is an 18-foot wide promenade beside Pleasant Creek, which blends beautifully with the creek’s natural surroundings. Kids can have fun on the custom climbing wall, while younger children can explore the custom climbing net.

There’s also plenty of open space for unstructured play and learning, perfect for kids’ development. Additionally, the playground boasts a new pedestrian bridge, cozy urban porch swings, bocce ball courts, and even more for visitors to discover.
