Morning Fourth of July Parades Near Indianapolis
Brownsburg Lions Club Parade
Location: Downtown Brownsburg

Brownsburg’s July 4 parade is part of the Brownsburg Lions Club July 4th Extravaganza, a weeklong celebration centered around Arbuckle Acres Park. The parade is one of the larger Hendricks County holiday traditions, with local groups, service organizations, first responders, vintage vehicles, tractors and horses.
The route lines up on O’Dell, heads west on Tilden, then north on Green Street, ending at Enderly. Families who want to turn it into a full-day plan can come back later for evening entertainment and fireworks at 10 p.m.
Lawrence 4th Fest Parade

Lawrence 4th Fest starts the holiday with a morning parade before the rest of the day’s activities at Lawrence Community Park. The parade features the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township, along with fire trucks, police and local groups.

Sheridan Through the Years 4th of July Parade

Sheridan’s Fourth of July celebration begins with a 10 a.m. parade, followed by evening festivities at Sheridan High School. The town’s Independence Day celebration also includes food, activities and fireworks later in the evening.
This is a good pick for families who like a smaller-town parade but still want enough going on later to make the drive north feel worth it.
CarmelFest Parade
Location: Route travels west on Carmel Drive, north on Rangeline Road and east on Main Street

The Allied Solutions CarmelFest Parade is one of the biggest Fourth of July parades in the Indianapolis area. The parade steps off near AAA Way and Carmel Drive, travels west on Carmel Drive to Rangeline Road, north to Main Street and east on Main Street, ending near Richland Avenue.
Reserved accessible parking and viewing are available at the southwest corner of Main Street and Rangeline Road. CarmelFest notes that parking can be tight, so arriving early, carpooling or using a ride-share can save some stress. The festival also has a no-pet policy because of the July heat.
Lights Over Morse Lake Parade

Cicero’s lakeside Fourth of July celebration includes a parade as part of the Lights Over Morse Lake festival. The parade steps off at 11 a.m., with line-up beginning earlier in the morning.

Boone County Fourth of July Parade

Boone County’s Fourth of July parade takes place in Lebanon at 1 p.m., leaving families enough time for a slower holiday morning before heading out. The parade travels through downtown and opens with a Civil Air Patrol flyover.

Noblesville Fourth of July Parade
Location: Downtown Noblesville

Noblesville’s Fourth of July parade starts downtown at 4 p.m. The route begins at 16th and Harrison streets and loops through the historic downtown by way of Logan, 10th and Monument streets.
A sensory-friendly viewing zone is set up on Monument Street between 11th and 12th streets, which is a helpful option for families who want a lower-sensory parade experience. The Fireworks Festival follows at Forest Park from 6 to 10 p.m., with a KidZone, inflatables, face painting, live music, food trucks and fireworks at 10 p.m.
Pendleton 4th @ The Falls Golf Cart Parade

Pendleton’s 4th @ The Falls celebration includes a golf cart parade, live bands, food trucks and fireworks to close the night. This is less of a traditional marching-band downtown parade and more of a community festival parade, which may be exactly the right speed for kids who mainly want decorated carts, snacks and room to move around.

Anderson’s Independence Day Parade gives families an evening parade option, with the city’s community celebration running downtown. The parade steps off at 7 p.m., followed by live music and fireworks later in the evening.
Because this one runs later, it works best for families with kids who can handle a full evening out, or at least kids who can nap hard earlier in the day.

Spark!Fishers Parade

Greenwood’s Freedom Festival is traditionally held before July 4 and includes a parade, festival activities and fireworks. It has already passed for 2026, but it is one to remember for families on the south side who want a parade weekend before the July 4 rush.
Tips for Taking Kids to a Fourth of July Parade
- Arrive earlier than feels reasonable. The best shady spots go first, and July pavement is not where anyone wants to learn a lesson.
- Bring chairs, water and sunscreen. Most parade routes involve a lot of sitting, waiting and direct sun.
- Check road closures before you park. Parade routes can make a short drive suddenly complicated, especially in downtown areas.
- Have an exit plan. If you are not staying for the festival or fireworks afterward, park where you can leave without crossing the route.
- Talk through candy rules first. Some parades toss candy, and kids can get very committed to the sidewalk scramble. Remind them to wait until floats pass and to stay out of the street while the parade is moving.
- Know your bathroom plan. Downtown parade routes and big festival crowds can make a quick restroom stop harder than expected, especially with younger kids.
