Summer in Indiana means finding places to cool off, and families in Hamilton County have a familiar option close to home. The Waterpark at the Monon Community Center, located at 1195 Central Park Dr. W. in Carmel, returns for the 2026 season with waterslides, a lazy river, a kiddie pool, the FlowRider®, cabanas and more.
2026 Season Dates and Hours
The Waterpark opens for the 2026 season on May 23. Daily hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 23 through August 9. Beginning August 15, the park moves to weekend-only hours from noon to 6 p.m. through September 6. Labor Day, September 7, is also open from noon to 6 p.m.

Admission
Daily admission is $18 for adults ages 16 to 64 and $15 for youth ages 3 to 15 and seniors ages 65 and older. Carmel residents receive a $3 discount with proper ID. Day passes are sold on-site, and sales may pause if the park reaches capacity.

2026 Season Passes
Season passes cover the full 2026 season and expire at the end of the season. Individual passes can be purchased online, while household passes must be purchased in person at the Monon Community Center. Carmel residents receive a $3 discount with proper ID.

Activities and Amenities
Waterslides
The Waterpark has adventure slides and a plunge slide for guests looking for a faster ride.
FlowRider®
The FlowRider® returns in 2026, giving guests a chance to try a surf-style ride. Riders must meet Waterpark rules and waiver requirements.
Kiddie Pool
The interactive kiddie pool is designed for younger children, with features for climbing, sliding and splashing.
Lazy River
The lazy river offers a slower-paced way for guests to spend time in the water.
Cabanas
Two cabana sizes are available for full-day rental. Cabana rental does not include admission to The Waterpark.
The 12×12 main cabanas fit up to eight guests and include a ceiling fan, a chaise lounge, three chairs, electrical outlets, two end tables, a lockable safe and a mini fridge. Rates are $110 on weekdays and $140 on weekends.
The 8×8 FlowRider® cabanas fit up to four guests and include three bar-height cushioned chairs, electrical outlets, a lockable safe and a mini fridge. Rates are $80 on weekdays and $110 on weekends.
Concession Stand
The concession stand sells hot food, snacks, cold treats and drinks. Sunscreen, swim diapers and other basics are also available on-site.
Bring Your Own Picnic
Outside food and drinks are allowed, with a few restrictions:
- No glass bottles, jars or containers.
- No alcohol.
- No heating elements, including grills, crockpots or plug-in warmers.
Food and coolers are permitted in the designated grass area only, and coolers are subject to inspection by staff.

Monon Mixers return in 2026 with after-hours evenings at The Waterpark for guests ages 21 and older. Dates are scheduled throughout the summer.

Adaptive Sensory-Friendly Swim at The Waterpark
This sensory-friendly evening at The Waterpark offers families a calmer environment for swimming and play. Music will be turned off, the concession stand will be closed, and the activity pool, slides and lazy river will be open.
Designed for individuals with disabilities and their families, the program costs $22 per family and requires preregistration. One registration covers each family.
