Polar Pajama Parties and “The Polar Express”
It’s that time of the year again in Indianapolis! Starting from Dec 1 to Dec 24, the downtown IMAX theater located in the Indiana State Museum welcomes back the time-honored holiday tradition – The Polar Pajama Parties. With special screenings of the cherished holiday classic, “The Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience”, this event brings in all the festive cheer!
“Seasonal movies are at the center of a lot of family traditions,” said Neale Johantgen, IMAX theater manager. “We are a destination for good films and family experiences, and we’re happy to continue the Polar Pajama Party tradition.”
Families can come for a day of train ride-fun with the Polar Pajama Party and The Indiana State Museum’s Celebration Crossing holiday festivities that feature a 13,000-square-foot, 4½-minute train ride called the Snowfall Express that will transport visitors through a forest where Indiana’s animals past and present are preparing for winter. Theatergoers can also take a walk after the movie on the Central Canal in White River State Park to see the Christmas lights highlighting the city skyline.
One night only screening of “White Christmas”
That’s not all! The Indianapolis IMAX will provide a one night only screening of “White Christmas” on December 12. This screening is part of the theater’s regular Classic Film Series, providing a holiday twist for this month’s selection. “Seasonal movies form an essential part of many family traditions,” quotes Neale Johantgen, the theater manager. “Our aim is to continue to be a go-to place for quality films and family experiences,” he adds, expressing the team’s excitement on continuing the Polar Pajama Party tradition this season.
