With a large variety of pools, water parks, and aquatic centers in the Indianapolis area, there’s no shortage of splashing fun to be had. Here are some cool spots to spend a hot summer afternoon.

Indianapolis Pools

The initial group of Indy Park & Rec pools will open during Memorial Day weekend, from Saturday, May 27 to Monday, May 29. They will then close for extra lifeguard training before reopening for the official start of the summer season on Saturday, June 3. The first wave of pools includes Broad Ripple Park, Brookside Park, Frederick Douglass Park, Indy Island Aquatic Center, Rhodius Park, Riverside Park, and Thatcher Park.

Admission fees vary depending on age and pool. Alternatively, individuals can buy an Indy Parks Fun Card for $40 per person (ages 3 and above), which allows daily access to one pool throughout the season. Entry is free for children aged 2 and under. Fun Cards can be purchased at any Indy Parks Family Center, Pool, the Customer Service Center at Riverside Park, or online.
