Penguin Park will have a new location in 2022. Penguin Park will open for the 2022 season on November 11, 2022, at Murphy Aquatic Park in Avon. The park will become a winter wonderland filled with fun activities for families, including ice skating on a synthetic rink.
When will Penguin Park be open in 2022?
Washington Township Park’s ice skating rink and wintertime park will be open from November 11, 2022, through February 26, 2023.
Ice skating hours are:
Friday: 6-9 pm
Sat-Sun: 12-6 pm

This year Penguin Park will be located at Murphy Aquatic Park (753 S CO RD 625 E AVON, IN 46123).
Penguin Park’s Synthetic Ice Rink
The main attraction at Penguin Park is the large, synthetic ice rink. For those just learning to glide on a pair of skates, skate aids are available for free.
Open skate hours are Friday nights from 6 to 9 pm, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from noon to 6 pm between November 11, 2022, and February 26, 2023. Admission to the rink is $8 per person, including skate rentals.
Having a birthday party? Birthday rentals include 10 skate passes, party games on ice and a visit from the Penguin mascot.
Igloo Rentals at Penguin Park
Washington Township Park has 3 different inflatable igloos to rent; each igloo is heated and big enough to hold 24 people. Visitors can rent one of the inflatable igloos — just to hang out in, or for birthday parties, reunions, and other get-togethers. Igloo rentals are $100 for two hours and include three tables and 24 chairs. Guests are welcome to bring their own food drink. Ice skating passes are not included.
