Greenwood\u2019s Parks & Recreation Department will host the city\u2019s annual Halloween trick-or-treat event, Monster Mash, at 6 p.m. next Friday, Oct. 22 and the second annual Halloween Parade in downtown Greenwood Saturday, Oct. 30 at 5 p.m. \u201cThe upcoming Halloween events are beloved by both residents and visitors from around Central Indiana," says Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers. "Providing a safe space for families to celebrate Halloween is our main goal, and attendees will find just that at Monster Mash and the Halloween Parade.\u201d Monster Mash Trick-or-Treat Event Monster Mash, located in Craig Park, will take place along the park\u2019s Play Pocket Trail from 6 to 8 p.m. Costumed attendees will walk the trick-or-treat trail and visit nearly 25 vendors, enjoy hayrides, music and more. General admission for the spooktacular event is free to the public, and parking will be available at the corner of Meridian St. and Surina Way. VIP tickets, which cost $5 and include early access from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and a hot dog dinner, are sold out. Halloween Parade The second annual Halloween Parade will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, and residents and visitors are encouraged to wear costumes and line the parade route for even more trick-or-treating. \u201cYear over year attendance for these events continue to increase, providing more visibility for our vendors, community partners and staff members,\u201d said Greenwood Parks & Recreation Director Rob Taggart. \u201cWe look forward to another Halloween season full of entertaining events and can\u2019t wait to see everyone\u2019s costumes.\u201d For more information on both events, visit greenwood.in.gov.
