Just northwest of Indy is Main Street Park in Whitestown, a park that spreads across 11 acres and includes a modern playground, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, corn hole and many other family-friendly features.
Built with all ages and abilities in mind, the playground at Main Street Park features inclusive equipment, including many rides that kids can sit on and spin. The playground equipment is spaced out to allow children to run and have lots of room to play, and there are lots of opportunities for climbing, sliding and parkouring. Toddlers have their own area away from the big kids, and there are lots of fun things to touch and explore. To help with soft landings, the playground is outfitted with areas that include both turf and rubber. Trees around the playground provide lots of shade for everyone.
Main Street Park is designed for play in all seasons. In the summer months, the splash pad is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. In the winter months, families can bring their sleds to glide down the sledding hill that faces the playground. Year-round, the park is a great place to play, explore and go for walks around the trails that circle the park.
Between the splash pad and playground, there is a gathering space with a big picnic shelter (there’s even a TV in there!), as well as restrooms.
There really is something for all ages at Main Street Park!
