Warmer weather is finally here, which means it’s time to get out and explore all that Indy Parks has to offer! With a variety of programming across our system, fun is guaranteed for the whole family.
If you’ve been waiting for the opportunity to reconnect with nature, now’s the time. Parks like Eagle Creek, Holliday, Southeastway and the brand new Grassy Creek Environmental Education center are the perfect places to learn more about local wildlife and what you can do to encourage growth around you. Plus, your little ones can explore the ambassador animals who call these parks home. Snakes, turtles, owls, oh my! Visit the birding lookouts to brush up on your knowledge, and then test your skills on a self or guided hike with an experienced naturalist.

Looking for somewhere to let your kiddos run free? Check out the massive playgrounds at Frederick Douglass Park and Grassy Creek Regional Park. Both offer features for each developmental level, from baby crawl and sensory tunnels to towering slides and ziplines. There are wheelchair-accessible and adaptive structures and swings at both to ensure uninterrupted play.

Finally, with schools letting out for the summer, we know how important it is to keep the fun and learning going. While our day camps are filling up by the day, there are still openings across the city for all ages and interests.
