Get ready to make a splash! Freedom Springs Aquatic Park in Greenwood is set to open its gates for the 2025 season on May 24th. Recognized as one of the premier outdoor water parks in the Indianapolis area, Freedom Springs offers a wide array of attractions and activities for the whole family.
Operating from Memorial Day through Labor Day, this popular summer destination perfectly escapes the heat. Visitors can look forward to various exciting features, including thrilling giant water slides, a relaxing lazy river, diving boards for showing off those cannonballs, and a dedicated splash pad for the little ones.
Attractions, Activities and Amenities
Freedom Springs is more than just a place to cool off; it’s an entertainment hub. Throughout the season, the park hosts diverse events catering to different tastes. These include fun adult-only nights and family-friendly experiences. A unique highlight is the much-loved Puppy POOLooza event, where furry friends get their own special day to enjoy the water.
The aquatic center boasts an impressive lineup of amenities designed for a full day of fun. These include a tube slide, two body water slides for the adrenaline seekers, and a 25-meter lap pool for those looking to get some exercise. Guests can also test their balance on the lily pad crossing or practice their dives from the 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards. An infant and toddler splash/play area ensures even the smallest visitors have a safe and enjoyable time. For comfort and convenience, cabanas and shelters are available for rent, and on-site concessions offer a variety of refreshments. Private rentals are also an option for special occasions.
For individuals interested in improving their swimming skills or trying new aquatic activities, Freedom Springs offers a comprehensive selection of programs. Options include Scuba Diving, group swim lessons for various ages and skill levels, parent-child swim lessons, and one-on-one private swim lessons. Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy Water Aerobics, lap swim, Aqua Walk (walking against the current in the lazy river), and Aqua Zumba.

2025 Park Hours and Admission
The 2025 summer hours are as follows:
- Monday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Beginning August 4th, the park will switch to back-to-school hours:
- Monday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
It’s important to note that hours may vary for special events, and visitors are encouraged to check the park’s event schedule for any time adjustments.

Greenwood residents receive a discount when they show a valid ID for proof of address.
- Greenwood Resident Adult (18+): $10
- Greenwood Resident Child/Senior (55+): $8
- Military: $6
- Non-Resident Adult (18+): $18
- Non-Resident Child: $18
- Non-Resident Senior (55+): $15
- Infants (2 and under): Free
Greenwood residents also have the option to purchase season passes for unlimited visits throughout the summer.
Save with Splash Cards
For frequent visitors who are Greenwood residents, the Splash Card is a smart and cost-saving choice. Priced at $80, the card provides 10 day passes that visitors of all ages can use at any time and have no expiration date. As an added bonus, guests receive a complimentary hot dog and soft drink when using the final pass on the card.
Park Policies
Regarding outside items, Freedom Springs allows coolers containing only bottled water. All other outside food and beverages are not permitted, with the exception of a cake if you have a shelter rental. Coolers will be checked at the gate upon entry.
For guests needing to leave and return, the park does offer pass outs. Visitors must get their hand stamped before exiting to be allowed re-entry on the same day.
Cabana Rentals for Extra Comfort
For those seeking a private, shaded retreat, cabana rentals are available. Perfect for families, corporate gatherings, or groups of friends, each cabana includes a couch, two chairs, and a table, accommodating up to six people. Rental rates are as follows:
- Half Day (Monday – Thursday): $30 (11:15 AM – 3:30 PM or 3:45 PM – 8:00 PM)
- Half Day (Friday – Sunday): $40 (Friday & Saturday: 11:15 AM – 3:30 PM or 3:45 PM –8:00 PM; Sunday: 12:15 PM – 3:00 PM or 3:15 PM – 6:00 PM)
- Full Day (Monday – Thursday): $50 (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
- Full Day (Friday – Saturday): $60 (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
- Full Day (Sunday): $60 (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Be aware that special event nights may have separate rates; please call us for these details. Cabana rental costs do not cover your park admission. You cannot bring any outside food into the cabanas. As such, shelter deals on pizzas, pitchers, and admission rates will not apply to your cabana rental. Furthermore, please do not bring cakes, cupcakes, or ice cream into the cabanas.
