This spring, the Indianapolis Museum Of Art made a change: They began charging admission and encouraging visitors toward memberships. And while we know this change could take a while to adjust to:
We were thrilled to discover that – similar to other museums and attractions in Indy – the IMA is offering a number of FREE days {and evenings!} throughout the year.
Days to explore the Museum, exhibits, grounds and more. Days to determine if a membership makes sense for your family. Days to experience all the family-friendly programming. Days to see the IMA with no strings attached.
When are the free days?
The first Thursday of every month from 4-9 p.m. Perfect for a date night, outing with friends or a little ‘me’ time.
Then, the IMA also offers free admission all day on:
- – National Museum Day – Tuesday, May 19, 2015
- – Summer Solstice – Saturday, June 20, 2015 {Catch the Dream Cars Exhibit while you’re there!}
- – Autumn Equinox – Saturday, September 19, 2015
- – National Garden Day – Saturday, October 3, 2015
- – Silent Night – Saturday, November 28, 2015
- – Winter Solstice – Thursday, December 17, 2015
- – {okay not a 2015 date but worth planning for!} Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration – Sunday, January 17, 2016
