Sensory Friendly Performance of Indianapolis Ballet’s The Nutcracker

Indianapolis Ballet opens The Nutcracker at Clowes Memorial Hall with a Sensory Friendly Performance, presented without the orchestra. Audience members can move through the aisles, vocalize, and enter and exit as needed. House lights stay on at a low level, flashing lights and some loud or startling moments are removed, and soothing items such as tablets, headphones and fidget toys are welcome.

The Krannert Room serves as a quiet room with a livestream of the performance, and an American Sign Language interpreter is available throughout the visit. The ballet runs about two hours with one intermission and is recommended for ages 5 and older. The general public is welcome to attend.
