Newfields Summer Nights: The Big Sleep 

The beloved summer tradition, The National Bank of Indianapolis Summer Nights Film Series returns to Newfields on Fridays and select Saturdays this June, July, and August. Bring your friends and family and watch movies under the stars at Newfields. All you need is a chair or a blanket; concessions and beverages will be available for purchase. You are welcome to pack your own picnic (with non-alcoholic beverages only) if you’d like. For those who like to be prepared, sunscreen and bug spray are always a good idea. 

The Big Sleep

When private investigator Philip Marlowe (Humphrey Bogart) accepts the blackmail case of one of Los Angeles’ wealthiest men, he finds himself deep within a web of lies, drugs, gambling, pornography, and murder woven around his client’s two beautiful daughters. But Marlowe’s most startling discovery is his inexorable attraction to one of the sisters, Vivian (Lauren Bacall). With the help from Vivian, Marlowe hatches a plot to free the family from this web and trap the real culprit.
