A core Jewish value is tikkun olam, Hebrew for repairing the earth or making the world a better place. It is a natural fit for the JCC to celebrate this day as a signature event for the organization and the Indianapolis community.
Highlights of the event:
–All your favorite earth-friendly organizations will be here with interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities centered around sustainability and going green.
–Arts with a Purpose will have hands-on visual activities for children of all ages. Also featuring music from Cathy Morris. In Celebration Plaza.
–Farmers Market by Indiana Owned
–Beer garden and food trucks, along with the J Cafe supplying kosher food.
Parking is available onsite at the JCC. The event is in front (west). And there will be ample parking available in back (east).

The 70-acre waterfront park in east Fishers features beach and water access to Geist Reservoir, non-motorized boat launch and dock access for kayaks and canoes, walking trails, playground, and public gathering amenities. Beach access is open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. This year, Fishers parks will add additional programming and events to the summer lineup. During the workshop, participants will learn the art of creating a short animated clip and will have the opportunity to submit their films to an animation contest and screening. Saturday, June 15th | 9:00 am – 2pm
Reel in some Father’s Day fun and build some memories with your favorite Dad, grandfather, uncles, sons, and role models. We’re opening our professionally stocked pond to the public for catch and release. Live bait, “Ubuild” tool box, and BBQ lunch will be available for purchase.
A shade tent will be provided but make sure to bring your hats, sunscreen , waterside seating, and of course don’t forget those fishing poles! When you need a break from the sun, duck into the tent and assemble some memories and a tool box. A variety of lawn games will also be available for you to enjoy and a photo op to capture a memory of the day.
