Event Details

At the 23rd Annual Zionsville Paint Out, artists of all ages will gather to create artwork outdoors in and around the Village of Zionsville. The event takes place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, and is organized by the SullivanMunce Cultural Center and the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association (IPAPA).

Artists must check in between 7 am and 10 am at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center. Adult and teen participants will have their canvases or materials stamped before beginning. Youth ages 7–11 will receive a canvas and paint to use on the Cultural Center grounds. Teens ages 12–17 can bring their own supplies or use a provided canvas, but materials must be stamped before painting.

Participants may work in any medium and must complete their artwork by 2 pm for it to be eligible for judging. Finished, stamped pieces will be displayed and available for purchase following an awards ceremony at the Cultural Center.

Entry is free for SullivanMunce and IPAPA members, as well as children 17 and under. Non-member adult participants must pay a $25 registration fee. The event will take place rain or shine, and no advance registration is required.

Awards will be given in professional, amateur adult, teen, and youth categories. The first-place professional winner will also have their name added to the Cynthia Van Tassel Yeo Plein Air Award plaque on display at the Cultural Center.

The SullivanMunce Cultural Center is located at 225 West Hawthorne Street, Zionsville, IN. On Paint Out day, hours are 7 am to 4 pm.
