Play a giant game of chess at Fishers District, an 18-acre mixed-use space combining dining, retail, entertainment and lodging. Fishers District is also the home of Fishers Test Kitchen, which is where you’ll find the giant chessboard, located right outside of Sun King.

Greenwood Public Library

Teens and tweens ages 11 to 18 years old and in grades 6 to 12 are invited to hang out at Greenwood Public Library’s TeenHQ, located on the library’s first floor. A place created by teens and for teens, it’s also the place where you’ll find a giant board to play chess or checkers.

Giant Chess inside Kidscommons

309 Washington St., Columbus

You will need to pay admission to access the giant chessboard inside Kidscommons, a children’s museum located in Columbus, Indiana. But once you’re inside, you can enjoy giant chess as well as three floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits (including another giant object: a giant toilet that kids can crawl into!).
