Indy Parks and Recreation has announced that the indoor swimming pool at the Krannert Family Center will officially open on February 7, 2024. The Krannert Family Center has undergone a $10.8 million upgrade, enhancing the leisure experience for residents.
Among the numerous enhancements, the indoor pool stands out, featuring large garage doors that effortlessly connect it to the new outdoor splash pad. This integration beautifully combines the convenience of indoor amenities with the excitement of outdoor activities.

The upgraded Family Center also touts a fully equipped fitness center. Featuring treadmills, weightlifting, cardio equipment, and a walking track, it caters to various fitness routines. Moreover, the renovation has expanded meeting and office spaces, refreshed locker rooms and restrooms, and introduced a new outdoor event space to engage the community in various activities.
Operating hours for the Family Center at Krannert Park are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., as the park invites everyone to 605 S. High School Road to join in the revelry.

The indoor pool’s operation schedule is as follows:
Open Swim:
- Monday-Friday: 4:30-6:30 pm
- Saturday: 12:00-3:30 pm
- Admission: $3 for youth and seniors, $4 for adults, free for children aged 2 and under
Lap Swim:
- Monday-Friday: 11 am – 1 pm
- Admission: $3 for youth and seniors, $4 for adults, free for children aged 2 and under
Aqua Arthritis Classes:
- Monday-Thursday: 9:15-10:15 & 10:15-11:15
- Friday: 9:15-10:15
- Class fee: $5
Water Aerobics Classes:
- Monday & Wednesday: 6:45-7:45 pm
