What do you think when you hear the words mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes (or yams-that’s always up for debate), cranberries, stuffing and turkey? More than likely you think Thanksgiving. Maybe you think family. Maybe you’re envisioning the inevitable nap that happens during the post-meal football game. Or maybe, your mind has gone straight to the dreaded word: calories.
Never fear! Eat all of that yummy food (and even reach for the second piece of pie) without feeling all of the guilt. Start your Thanksgiving morning off right with some fresh air and exercise at a local run/walk, all while benefiting a local organization. Feel good, do good, and… eat good.

Cause: 100% of the proceeds will go to buying AEDs (automated external defibrillators) for law enforcement officers in Hamilton County, Indiana.
10th Annual YMCA Gobble Wobble
Pendleton YMCA, 520 Falls Park Drive, Pendleton
Distance: 5K Walk/Run
Start Time: 9 am
Cause:All registration proceeds benefit the YMCA of Madison County’s Annual Campaign, which provides scholarships to kids and families in need.
Fit Livin’ Thanksgiving Day Run
Dillon Park, 6001 Edenshall Lane, Noblesville
Distance: 4 Mile Run/Walk; 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk; Kids 1/4 mile run
Start Time: 8:45 am Kids Fun Run; 9 am 1.5 Mile & 4 Mile
Cause: Hemophilia of Indiana (HoII) is a 501c3 non-profit organization, that serves over 1,400 Indiana patients and families affected by hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Proceeds from this year’s event will go to Hemophilia of Indiana’s Judy Moore Memorial Scholarship Program.
Wishbone 5K Walk/Run
Fishers YMCA, 9012 E. 126th St, Fishers
Distance: 5K Walk/Run
Start Time: 8 am
Cause: All proceeds go towards benefitting individuals and families right here in Fishers who otherwise would not be able to participate in YMCA memberships and programs.
