Recently, my kids and I headed downtown to check out the new Kids Bowl Free promotion, happening all month long at Punch Bowl Social.
Before we put on our bowling shoes, we decided to grab lunch and taste some of the new kid’s menu food and drink items. My kids ordered (and loved) the Jeannesse’s drink, a combination of strawberry, lime and aloe vera juice, one of the many kid craft drinks they have available.
The kid’s menu had lots of interesting looking choices, like BBQ ribs and a Banana Almond Butter Sandwich. Our collective favorite was the Yogurt and Strawberry Topped Belgian Waffle.
After filling up on lunch, we made our way over to one of the bowling lanes. Don’t worry if you think your kids may be too young to bowl. The Punch Bowl Social bowling lanes are set up so you can add bumpers to your lane based on whether or not each person wants or needs them. My kids and I had a blast during bowling (and for the record, we ALL used bumpers during our round of bowling).
In addition to bowling, there’s lots of other fun stuff to do at Punch Bowl Social, including: Beanbags, video games, foosball, and more.
My kids are already asking to go back so they can play the giant Jenga and wall-sized Scrabble.
As summer’s winding down, and you’re out of ideas for ways to keep your kids busy, try something new. Head to Punch Bowl Social for their Kids Bowl Free promotion during the month of August. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon.
Kids Bowl Free runs Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is open to kids 15 and younger accompanied by an adult. This promotion includes one hour of free bowling and complimentary bowling shoes. Reservations recommended by calling (317) 249-8613.
