Noblesville Parks & Recreation is offering a series of family-friendly events (most of them free) that are the perfect way to kick off summer break. From the annual Bed Race (yes, you read that right) to the new-to-Noblesville Mac & Cheese Fest, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Check out this list of upcoming events:
The Summer Concert Series kicks off with Not Your Average Boy Band
Date: Thursday, June 1
Time: 7-9 p.m.
Location: Dillon Park

7th Annual Darlington Snacks Bed Race
Date: Friday, June 2
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Downtown Noblesville
This unique contest involves racing custom designed beds on wheels and provides an enjoyable experience for onlookers and participants alike while raising money to provide area youth with financial-need scholarships for summer camp. There is no charge to watch, just for participating teams.
Free Fishing Day
Date: Saturday, June 3
Time: 9 a.m.-noon
Location: Hague Road Nature Haven
Noblesville Parks Naturalist Karen LeMere will assist anglers as the city participates in the Department of Natural Resources’ Free Fishing Day. Noblesville Parks will have 30 poles available for use on a first come, first serve basis. The free fishing, which does not require a license, is available from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hague Road Nature Haven, main entrance off Hague Road between Indiana 38 and Indiana 32. We will be practicing “catch and release” fishing at the event. Pre-registration is encouraged. Call 317-776-6350.
Return of the Mac: Mac & Cheese Fest
Date: Saturday, June 3
Time: 1-5 p.m.
Location: Federal Hill Commons
Mac & Cheese lovers will delight in this event where you can samplecheesy creations from Hamilton County, North Indy, Indianapolis restaurants while chefs put their own spin on everyone’s favorite comfort food. A ticket is required for attendance and can be purchased here.
Tribute Series Concert featuring Sixteen Candles
Date: Saturday, June 3
Time: 7-9 p.m.
Location: Federal Hill Commons
