Wild Path Learning for Teens is a homeschool nature series at Pecar Park for ages 12 to 15. In October, students learn to identify trees using bark, buds, branching patterns and habitat clues. In November, they build outdoor skills through hands-on wilderness survival lessons in navigation, shelter building, outdoor safety, nature awareness and teamwork.
Each session costs $8, and younger siblings can tag along for free at the November session. Students should dress for the weather, since the November session is held entirely outdoors.
