Sankt Nikolaus and his companion, Knecht Ruprecht, arrive at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt for the German tradition of Sankt Nikolaustag. Families can watch the grand entrance, see a presentation in the Winter Pavilion and then meet the pair in person at the Spielhaus.
In keeping with tradition, children are encouraged to recite a poem or sing a song for Sankt Nikolaus before receiving a small gift.
