On the first Thursday of every month, Newfields lets visitors choose what to pay for general admission, including nothing at all. Families can explore the Indianapolis Museum of Art galleries and The Garden, with live music, open studio hours and gallery conversations planned for the day.
General admission is pay what you wish, including $0, and children 5 and under are always free. Advance tickets are recommended but not required, and donations support First Thursdays, art and garden care, and education programs.
November’s First Thursday adds a pop-up nature center in the Star Studio Classroom, a nature story time with leaf rubbing in the Stout Reference Library and open studio art making.
