Military Day brings a full day of hands-on history and veteran tributes to the Johnson County Armory in Franklin, hosted by the Johnson County Public Library. Families can get up close to military vehicles, including a Huey helicopter, see military uniform displays and historical military simulations and try interactive learning activities.
The day also includes a WWII-era Victory Social with the 38th Division Infantry Band, distinguished speakers, New York Times bestselling author Brad Taylor, a POW memorial area and a community art project honoring veterans. The event is made possible with support from the Rotary Clubs of Johnson County.
