Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Indiana State Museum offers free admission on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with multicultural performances in the Great Hall, a community mural, highlights of King’s best-known speeches and hands-on activities about service and community. Visitors can see original copies of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th Amendment signed by President Abraham Lincoln, and the museum’s curator of social history will show objects from the collection.

The galleries are open, including the Nikon Small World photomicrography exhibit. The museum invites donations to Gleaners Food Bank, and free parking is available first come, first served in the White River State Park garage.
