Indiana Ballet Conservatory presents The Nutcracker at the Payne & Mencias Palladium in Carmel over Thanksgiving weekend. Staged by Founding Artistic Director Alyona Yakovleva, the production is based on Vasily Vainonen’s 1934 choreography and stays close to the original ballet that debuted in Russia more than 100 years ago. The Carmel Symphony Orchestra plays Tchaikovsky’s score live.
The ballet is presented for children and adults of all ages. Tickets start at $15, and tickets bought in person at the Fifth Third Bank Box Office do not carry per-ticket fees.
