The Carmel Christkindlmarkt’s sixth annual Glühwein Gallop is a 5K run and walk that starts and finishes at the market and follows the Monon Trail past the shops on Main Street and Rangeline Road. The race is open to all ages and includes a costume contest and age-group awards. Every finisher gets a medal, and runners 21 and older can trade the tag on their bib for a Glühwein or beer after the race, with Kinderpunsch and other nonalcoholic drinks for everyone else.
Registration is $33 through Nov. 2, and a Glühwein boot mug is available as an $8 add-on. The deadline to order a race shirt is Dec. 3. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
