Indy Parks and the Holliday Park Foundation host a series of bilingual nature events in English and Spanish, with hands-on activities and cultural connections for the whole family. The Wonders of Monarchs explores monarch butterflies, their connection to Day of the Dead and the legacy of Mexican monarch conservationist Homero Gómez González, with pot painting, monarch coloring, face painting and a walk to look for butterflies.
The programs are free, meet in the outdoor classroom behind the Holliday Park Nature Center and do not require registration.
