Itโs designed to help boys understand the benefits and responsibilities of being a leader through supervised activities that provide an opportunity for development of personal independence, team-spirit, motivational skills and self-reflection.
Physical training helps participants unlock their potential, and team-building courses help students learn to work better alongside peers and make life-long friends.
MMAโs Confidence Camp provides young boys with a fun, challenging environment where they are given activities designed to help boys develop a sense of pride in themselves and their accomplishments and improve self-esteem. Overnight Camp Questions
What does the camper’s living situation look like?
2-man rooms in barracks (dorms)
How do parents and campers communicate?
We hold all cell phones in the mentor offices. Usually boys call home on weekends. We take a lot of pictures daily and upload them on our flicker site (link given to parents) so they can keep up with what their son’s are doing. Parents also have all contact numbers if they need to chat with their son
How does your camp handle homesickness?
We keep the boys busy but if there is some homesickness we’re pretty good at handling that since we’re also a boarding school. During the regular school year we have boys from 14 different countries and 27 States.
What are the meals like at camp?
There’s always a beef or chicken, vegetables, sandwich bar, salad bar, bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes…just a bunch of really good food made from scratch in our kitchen.
Can parents visit the camp?
For Summer Academy yes…there’s usually a parent day. The other camps are 1-2 weeks so parents don’t come to visit.
Is the schedule highly structured, or do kids have a lot of free choices?
All these camps have a daily schedule. There is some free time in the evening.
Is transportation available to and from camp?
It can be arranged if flying in. Most parents bring their boys to campus.
