Sycamore Summer Programs

Our summer program offerings are designed to help students discover and explore new topics and interests, build confidence and creativity, and keep their academic skills sharp. With the instruction of many Sycamore faculty and staff members, as well as a few of our trusted community partners, students will grow, learn, and have an awesome time during camps.

What makes your camp unique?

Sycamore Summer Programs are fully immersive camps, where students not just learn about topics, they fully participate and become a painter, a baker, an anthropologist, and so much more.

What activities are offered at your camp?

Sycamore Summer Programs offer camps on cooking, coding, art making, math, science, dance, drama, fencing, karate, sports (soccer, baseball, basketball & volleyball) & so much more. Sports camps, 

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

For children ages 3-5 the ratio is 10:1.
For children grades 1st-5th the ratio is 12:1.
For children grades 6th-8th the ratio is 20:1.

How much time do the campers spend outside?

With each of our camp the time outside varies depending on the topic.

Does the camp provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?

Sycamore Summer Programs provide a morning and afternoon snack to all camper. Lunch is not provided by Sycamore Summer Programs.

What is the typical daily schedule for campers? 

All of the Sycamore Summer Program camps are 3 hours. A typical schedule would be an hour & twenty minutes of instruction, twenty minutes for snack, recess/supervised free time &/or a brain break, then an hour and twenty minutes of instruction.

How old are the counselors and how are they trained?

All instructors are 18 years or older and trained in the specific topic they are leading.

What accommodations are made for campers with special needs?

All accommodations for campers with special needs are met on an individual/as needed basis.
