What makes your camp unique?
Sycamore provides fully immersive camp experiences, with qualified instructors, not just camp counselors. Camp sizes are small, providing campers opportunities to fully engage with the instructors and theme of the camp.

What activities are offered at your camp?
Camp offerings fall into one of the following categories: Science, Engineering, Math, Art, Drama, Pop Culture, Music, History, Coding, Programming & Cooking.
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
Early Childhood camps (ages 3-5) have a 6:1 camper:counselor ratio.
Lower School camps (grades 1st-4th) have a 10:1 camper:counselor ratio.
Middle School camps (grades 5th-8th) have a 12:1 camper:counselor ratio.

How much time do the campers spend outside?
Outside time for each camp depends on the topic of the camp. Each camp typically will hold a 15-20 minute “break” for snack and outdoor recess time.
Does the camp provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?
Allergy free snacks are provided for all camps. Lunch is not provided for Sycamore Summer Programs.

What is the typical daily schedule for campers?Â
Sycamore’s 1/2 day specialty camps run for 3 hours. A typical schedule would be 1 hour & 20 minutes of immersive, hands on camp activities – a 15-20 snack/recess break followed by 1 hour & 20 minutes of immersive, hands on camp activities.

How old are the counselors and how are they trained?
All instructors must be 18 years or older & pass a background check. Instructors are licensed/certified/trained in the camp topic they are leading, due to the specific theme of each camp.
What accommodations are made for campers with special needs?
Camper accommodations are handled on an individual need basis.
