Bundle up for some ice-cold competition and fun at this year’s Carmel Winter Games! Whether you are signed up to compete or are a spectator, you won’t want to miss two days of non-skating competition February 9 and 10 at the Ice at Center Green.
What kind of competition? “Human curling” on inner tubes, an ice trike relay and “human hungry hippo” using laundry baskets to fetch hundreds of bouncing balls!
The annual event kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. with the Hometown Hero-Olympics featuring good-spirited competition among a number of city departments including Carmel Fire, Engineering, Parks & Recreation, Police and Streets.
On Saturday, the competition on ice begins at noon as teams of friends and corporate co-workers vie for the No. 1 spot. The winning team will choose one of the not-for-profit organizations listed below to receive a cash prize donation.
Not-for-profit organizations:
- Carmel Youth Assistance Program
- Prime Life Enrichment Center
- The Children’s TheraPlay Foundation
