There’s something for everyone this summer at CIAoD! The summer starts off June 17th with our popular young dancer day camps, featuring themes such as Frozen and Rapuzel, ages 3-6! Themes change each week, as do the crafts and performance dances! Don’t forget to have your older dancer join us for our Youth Dance Camp for ages 6-11, July 8th-12th! Don’t forget we also have summer classes!

What makes Centra Indiana Academy of Dance unique?

Our day camps for the 3-6 year old dancers is the perfect place for your dancer to fall in love with movement and the art of dance. Each camp is designed with your little one in mind to keep them entertained and learning all morning long!

Our Youth Dance Camp is ideal for the elementary-aged dancer to learn new disciplines of dance such as modern, improvisation, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), and dance language! This week will encourage your child to have fun and explore new dance styles!

We also have dance classes for dancers of all ages!

How much time do the campers spend outside?

None

Does Centra Indiana Academy of Dance provide lunch/snacks or do parents need to provide them?

Snacks are provided for our young dancer day camps (ages 3-6).

For our Youth Dance Camp lunch will need to be provided.

What is the typical daily schedule for campers?

For our young dancer day camps (ages 3-6), the dancers do a warm up with the teacher and take a dance class! Class is followed by snack time and then craft time. Activity time comes next – your dancer can expect to do obstacle courses, freeze dance, ‘bean bag boogie’, ‘animal action’ and other follow along with songs all while using various props! They will also learn a short dance to be able to perform at for families at the end of the week!

*Crafts and themed dances do not repeat throughout the whole summer – so join us for multiple weeks to receive a discount!

For our Youth Dance Camp, dancers will take various different classes – ballet, pointe (if applicable), jazz, modern, musical theatre, hip hop, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and various seminars throughout the 6+ hour day!

How old are the counselors and how are they trained?

Our instructors are former professional dancers, have a college degree in dance, or actively pursuing a college degree or professional career in dance.

What accommodations are made for campers with special needs?

Does my child need any dance experience to attend?

For our day camps (ages 3-6) no dance experience is required! This is an excellent place to find their love of dance and music! We do ask that your child is potty trained.

Our Youth Dance Camp (ages 6-11) students may be beginning level dancers.
