Tucked into the Fishers neighborhood off of 116th Street is Brooks School Park, a 16.5-acre park that’s one of the more popular in the area. When you visit, you will see why: There’s something for all ages and abilities here.
Accessible Playground for All Abilities
The playground at Brooks School Park is the first inclusive playground to be built in the city of Fishers. The playground has play areas that are built for ages 2-5 and 5-12.
Playground features include a huge play structure that looks like a big tree. There are five of these “Timber Toppers” on the playground, which provide shade while kids are playing. There are also more that two dozen different activities on the playground structure for kids to explore. Visitors will find nine slides, five climbers, stepping stones, bridges, climbing rocks with cables, a sensory play area with drums, chimes, bells, xylophones, activity boards and more opportunities for motor and sensory play. The playground is outfitted with a rubberized surface for soft landings.

Swings are also a part of the playground and feature seats for all ages, including infant swings and swings with harnesses.
Born Learning Trail
Parents and caregivers of preschool children can explore Brook School park’s Born Learning Trail, a paved walking trail that wraps around the park. The Born Learning Trail includes several interactive signs with activities for adults to engage in with young children. On this trail, you can turn an outdoor trip into a fun learning experience!
Other Park Features
Brooks School Park also features lots of opportunities for sports fans to engage in their favorite athletic activities. You will find an open, grassy field for playing soccer and rugby, an adult size basketball court, a horseshoe pit and more. There is also a bridge that extends over Mud Creek, and takes you from the parking lot to the park. It’s a nice place to spot tadpoles as they swing along the creek!
On hot summer days, usually during the weekend, you might find a Kona Ice Truck parked in the parking lot, offering snow cones for sale. It’s a great way to cool off after exploring the many fun facets of Brooks School Park.
