Winter just got a little brighter in Lawrence, thanks to the newest addition at Lawrence Community Park! Already a beloved spot for sledding enthusiasts, the park is now offering a Free Sled Library, ensuring everyone can enjoy the magic of sledding—no sled required.
What is the Free Sled Library?
No sled? No problem! The Free Sled Library makes sure no one misses out on the fun. Here’s how it works:
- Borrow a sled for free from the red sled library container, located conveniently at the base of the hill.
- Enjoy your time sledding to your heart’s content.
- Return the sled when you’re done so the next visitor can join in the fun.
This community-driven project is made possible through the generosity of local residents, businesses, and organizations. Their contributions ensure that sledding is accessible to everyone, no matter their circumstances. If you are interested in donating, please contact Parks Director Eric Martin at [email protected].
