My boys and I recently spent an afternoon ziplining through Edge Adventures at Koteewi in Noblesville. It was an exhilarating way to spend the afternoon, flying through the trees. We all left the park feeling braver and stronger than we had in a while. If you're thinking of trying ziplining or braving an aerial obstacle course, here are a few parks in the Indianapolis area to check out. Edge Adventures at Koteewi Photo by Edge Adventure Edge Adventures has two locations: one in Noblesville and one in South Bend. Both offer three-hour or all-day passes to their adventure parks. Their adventure park is described as “essentially a series of obstacle courses in the trees.” Each park offers multiple courses which increase in complexity. Three-hour passes cost $44.95 for children ages 7-15, and $49.95 for adults 16+. All day passes cost $69. Group discounts are available. Hours: Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 10 am-4 pm 11800 Koteewi Dr., Noblesville (800) 590-8347 Go Ape at Eagle Creek Park Photo by Go Ape This zipline park at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis offers four unique experiences with four different prices. There are two tree top obstacle courses, one jump line and an axe throwing range. You must be at least 10 years old to participate in any Go Ape activity. The beginner’s course, Treetop Journey, costs between $29.95-$37.95. The original course, Treetop Adventure, costs between $39.95-$64.95. The Monkey Drop, a jump line from 40 feet in the air, costs $14.95 per jump. Axe throwing costs between $17.95-$19.95 per hour. In addition, they have no age limit. They encourage families to bring even their youngest, as the staff have been trained to work with all age groups. Their zipline tour includes eight ziplines, one swinging bridge, a few scenic walks and Indiana’s only suspended platforms hanging in the trees. The daytime zipline tour costs $70 per person (all ages). The nighttime zipline tour costs $89 per person (all ages). In addition, they also have a giant rock-climbing tower.
