There are movies and then there are life-altering epic sagas that pit good versus evil in an all-out showdown of galactic proportions. Star Wars is the latter. Whether you were introduced to the original trilogy as a child or came on board with the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, chances are the sound of Darth Vader’s menacing entry music or the shrill tones of Chewbacca’s battle cry send shivers down your spine.
Now, the moment Star Wars fans of all ages have been waiting for – that moment on Dec. 18 when past meets present in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens – is just weeks away (8 of them to be exact).
Tickets are on sale now!
If you are wanting to be one of the first ones in the theater to see how the story unfolds, now is the time to get your tickets. Tickets, including those for evening showings on Dec. 17, can now be purchased through individual theater chain websites (like AMC and Regal ) or through online services such as Fandango. You can also visit the box office of your favorite theater to purchase tickets. Most theaters are strictly selling tickets to the first one to two weeks of showings for now.
If you don’t feel like buying tickets this far in advance or would prefer to wait until the crowds die down, don’t worry. Once Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits the theaters, it is almost certain that a movie of this magnitude will be staying there for quite some time. For now, if you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the recently released official movie trailer.
