Spend a summer day at the IMA

Looking for a fun summer activity for the whole family? Spend the day at the Indianapolis Museum of Art to tee off at our mini golf course, enjoy a beer in the IMA Beer Garden or take a hike in the Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres.

The return of the IMA’s artist-designed mini golf course offers a unique way to interact with art and experience the great outdoors. This year’s one-of-a-kind course features brand new holes, along with some familiar favorites, inspired by the natural world. Come putt past lions, navigate through glaciers and learn about honey bees. The course is located included with general admission, and IMA Members play free.

Soak up the scenery and sip on a drink in the family-friendly Beer Garden. Take advantage of the newly extended Beer Garden located just outside the Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse. The new menu features a wider selection of beverages as well as snacks such as a sharable charcuterie board. Grab a brew during regular museum hours.

Feeling adventurous? Explore the Art & Nature Park to see if you can find the larger-than-life skeleton sculpture, Funky Bones, shoot some hoops at the colorful Free Basket basketball court, swing on the Chop Stick swing set and much more!
