My husband, Mike and I have lived in the Westfield area for almost three years now. For the majority of those years, our friends and coworkers have raved about this little place off of US 31 called the Lincoln Square Pancake House. It seemed like every week we would hear about their Saturday mornings spent at the pancake house where the portions were huge and the atmosphere felt like “home.” After hearing the reviews for so long, we finally decided to check out this breakfast/lunch hot spot for ourselves.
Immediately upon settling into our booth, we sensed the “hometown feel” this restaurant provided. The manager and waitresses were friendly and shared their favorite dishes on the menu. Of course, we had to give them a go. Mike, a bit more on the daring side, went for the Southwest Skillet- a south of the border combination of onions, peppers, chorizo sausage, jalapenos and scrambled eggs mixed with salsa and cheese all layered on a bed of hash browns. If this wasn’t enough food for him, it also came with a side of pancakes! A breakfast lover’s heaven. I went for the safer option, the popular club sandwich toasted with melted cheese and served with a side of fries and clam chowder. This combo was comfort food at its finest for a simple food lover at heart. Oh and the portions? Huge. We both had enough for a late afternoon snack later in the day. Don’t you love restaurants like that?
