Opening Day at The Waterpark

The Waterpark at the Monon Community Center in Carmel will open for the summer season on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Home to a 3.5-acre aquatic experience, The Waterpark is located in Central Park and offers a variety of amenities including an activity pool, two Adventure Slides, a Plunge Slide, a Lazy River, The Wall and the FlowRider®. Covered cabanas are also available for daily or weekend rentals, and food and beverages are available at the concession stand as well as from Kona Ice and Orange Leaf carts.

General admission to The Waterpark, just $10 for adults and $7 for youngsters ages 3 to 15 and seniors. Admission also allows access to the Monon Community Center, a 146,000-square-foot recreation facility adjacent to The Waterpark featuring Indoor Aquatics, a Fitness Center, three-court gymnasium, and KidZone (childcare). In addition, more than five miles of natural hiking trails surround The Waterpark and Monon Community Center with easy access to the adjacent trails and Monon Greenway.

The grand opening of a new, interactive playground and splash pad on Central Park’s West side is scheduled for later this summer. These new amenities will provide additional recreational opportunities for families.
